Born on 22nd May in Amravati Kishor Kedia is a dedicated and dynamic Rotarian and a man of boundless energy, Kishor Kedia occupies a place of prominence amongst the business and political community of Amravati. Kishor had his school and college education in Amravati. He has promoted Shree Ram Metal Industry engaged in manufacturing of Aluminium circles and utensils.

 

Member of Rotary Club of Amravati Midtown since 1988 served the Club in various capacities including President in 2001-02. He led his club with great leadership, distinction and innovation. During his President year he concentrated on Rotary growth and under took numerous projects for the benefit of the community. During that year his club invited 34 new members into its fold, and have done as many as 7 Matching Grant projects. A dedicated sincere and committed Rotarian, he has been a part of every Governors Team since then. He has served District 3030 in almost all capacities, high point being his Chairmanship of “DIL SE DIL TAK” a committee which helped more than 650 children from poor families perform Heart surgeries to correct congenital heart condition. He was honoured for this exemplary selfless work by Rotary International with “SERVICE ABOVE SELF AWARD” the highest Award a Rotarian can get in 2005-06. A giver by heart he is also a Major Donor to The Rotary Foundation, A 'Paul Harries Society member' & a recipient of TRF's District Service Award. He is a strong votary of the Rotary Foundation and himself a PHS member. His family is a 100% PHF family. They have hosted 5 exchange students and more than 20 GSE members, there home is literally a “World Rotary Home”.

 

Rtn. Kishor is playing an important role in number of Social, Educational and Charitable Organisations in Amravati town. His zeal for community and social service is infectious. He is a prolific Blood Donor, having donated Blood more than 70 times. He has widely travelled within and outside India. Prominent Countries visited by him include England, France, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Thailand, Italy, Netherlands, and Singapore etc. Swimming, Volleyball, adventure sports are amongst his many hobbies.

 

Kishor is a total committed family man, spouse Uma and he make an elegant couple in the District 3030. Uma too is very active in Rotary Family and has served as President of Inner Wheel Club of Amravati Midtown in 2009-10. They are blessed with two most wonderful daughters Barkha and Ritu Champions in International Long distance sea swimming and real life heroes in their own right. Both are Shri Chatrapati Shivaji Awardee, the highest award of Govt. of Maharashtra for excellence in sports & elder daughter Barkha is Arjuna Awardee by the hands of Honourable Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpai & President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Barkha is a MBA and Ritu is a Chemical Engineer (Pune). Both daughters are IYE students and World Champion Swimmers.
