District Conference 2012
District Conference of RID 3030 at Nagpur on 4th and 5th February 2012
Objective
The purpose of District Conference is to advance the Object of Rotary through fellowship, inspirational addresses, and providing a platform to discuss Rotary related matters in detail. District Conference not only showcases successful district and club activities and projects but also highlights importance of Rotary Programs for the benefit of the society.
It is a great opportunity to the new Rotarians to know work done by various Rotary Clubs for the society, to have interaction with members of other clubs. It is an great opportunity to make new friends and to update the Rotary Knowledge.
Host
The organisers of the conference are all the Rotary Clubs of Nagpur city of Rotary International District 3030. Being District Governor's Club, Rotary Club of Nagpur West is the main host club for this conference. Rotary Club of Nagpur West is a premier club of RID 3030 and it has already organised two conferences in the past. This year again Rotary club of Nagpur West has got the opportunity to host the conference KALYANOSTAV- A Celebration of Service and all its members are eagerly waiting to welcome Rotarians and their families for this mega event.
DG Gopal Shiralkar and Conference Chairman PP Dr K. S. Rajan are trying their best to see that all the Rotarians and their families will enjoy the conference and will remember it for a long time in future for its fellowship, inspirational speeches, excellent presentations, special Anns Programmes and the entertainment programme.
Venue
The venue of this year's District Conference is Dr Vasantrao Deshpande Hall, Civil Lines, Nagpur. The air-conditioned hall will be supported by another air-cooled enclave to accommodate more delegates comfortably . The Breakfast and Lunch will be at the Luxurious Rani Kothi and the Banquet will be at the lavish Ladies Club Lawns. Just to add varieties, wide range of stalls will be available at the Conference Venue which will cater snacks, hot and soft drinks.
The Entertainment programme will be at Dr Vasantrao Deshpande Hall after the first day's plenary sessions are over.
Registration
The registration can be done under various categories viz Donor, Patron, Reception Committee Member, Couple, Rotarian, Rt-Ann, Rotractor, Interactor, Guest etc. The Charges for the Respective Category are :
a) Donor - Rs. 25000/-
b) Patron - Rs. 15000/-
c) Reception Committee Member - Rs. 11000/-
d) Rotary Couple - Rs. 3500/-
e) Rotarian - Rs. 2500/-
f) Rt-Ann - Rs. 1500/-
g) Rotractor / Interactor / Guest - Rs. 1500/-
The registration can be made by sending draft in favour of District Conference 2012, RID 3030 payable at Nagpur. On spot registration facility will also be available.
Accommodation
The Accommodation committee has already booked some of the prime hotels in Nagpur City which are located at convenient locations and are near to the Conference Venue. Some of them are :

3) Hotel Ashoka, Laxmi Nagar
4) Hotel Adi, Wardha Road
5) Jog Guest Houses at 5-6 locations
Guests & Speakers
Guests and Speakers are the center of attraction of every District conference. Rtn Raja Saboo, Past R.I. President will be the chief guest of the Conference. Shri Mukul Wasnik, Hon. Central Minister of Social Welfare would be the Guest of Honor along with Past R.I. President Rtn Richard King from USA as R. I. President's Representative.
The star attraction in this conference are Ms Kiran Kher, Noted Film personality and social worker, Shri Navjyot Singh Siddhu, Cricker and Hon. Member of Parliament, Shri G. S. Shrikhande, MD of Shopper's Stop, Shri Murlidhar Rao, Eminent personality from the field of Rural Development and Micro Finance.
Planning and Preparations are in full swing for Ladies Programme. Interesting and novel sessions including presentations on various topics are included in the fun filled programmes on both the days.
Entertainment Programme
The glittery evening of entertainment programme will be another star attraction of the District Conference. The team lead by Mr Parag Mategaonkar and Mrs Suvarna Mategaonkar will be presenting a variety of entertainment programme.
Banquet
The Banquet for the District Conference is being planned at Ladies Club Lawns, Civil Lines, Nagpur on 4th February 2011. During the banquet, efforts of the conference team are to present before you some exclusive cuisine that would be remembered for times to come by one and all. The fellowship committee is making arrangements to make everybody comfortable at the banquet venue.
Local Transport
The Transport committee is making arrangements for the local transportation from Railway Station to Hotel also to and fro arrangements from Hotel to Conference Venue.
Delegate Kits
While selecting the delegate kits 'Go Green' concept has been kept in mind. The Kits committee has taken special efforts to select a quality kit bag for Rotrians and Anns. Exclusive kit has been selected for Donors. The contents of the kit are of quality and utility items, as well as information brochures of various organizations and institutions will also be included.
Souvenir
This year we are coming out with a Souvenir "". Articles from eminent (non-Rotarian) personalities serving well known NGO's are invited for the souvenir. Rotary related articles are also included in the souvenir from our own Rotarians. Apart from this remarkable projects and activities undertaken in the district will be highlighted. The advertisers get a very good platform through souvenir to reach out 4000 Rotarians of RID 3030 through their advertisements.
Rotary Utsav
We have planned to organize 'Rotary Utsav' which features stalls from well known Corporates from IT, Realities, Banking, Insurance, Automobile and other sectors including NGOs to exhibit their products. Rotarians will get a chance to know the latest products exhibited there and get some special offers from them during 'Rotary Utsav'.
Rotary Tower
A Rotary Tower will be an another star attraction, erected at the center of the 'Rotary Utsav' venue. The tower will have LED walls on which information about various Rotary projects like Polio Eradication, 3-H programmes, Matching Grant Projects etc. would be displayed. Video and display advertisements of advisors and sponsors will also be shown on these LED walls.
